The Scorpion escapes prison to get back at Jonah Jameson and Spider-Man. The Scorpion drinks a toxic chemical and trashes Dr. Stillwell's lab. The chemicals mutate the Scorpion into a giant. He captures Jameson, but Spider-Man is able to make the Scorpion drink the antidote.
